A group video gift costs from free to about $100, depending on the service and the length. On October 20, 2026, VidDay charged $5 for up to 3 minutes and $15 for up to 10 minutes, Tribute DIY started at $35, Folksee was free for 10 people and $1 per person beyond that, and FromAll.gift charged $39 for up to 15 photos or $49 for up to 30. Price grows with length at VidDay and with the number of people at Folksee. The video above is our own example, a mother’s 65th birthday.

A frame from the example video: an old black-and-white photo of three women and a boy sitting in the grass, the message “Love you, sis!”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Lilia”.

The practical part

Key facts, the price range, three typical groups, extras, when you pay and how to split the cost.

What are the key facts?

Most group video gifts cost about $5 to $100, and a few options are free. The short-video price is $5 at VidDay and $39 or $49 at FromAll.gift; a long video costs $35 to $99 at Tribute. All figures were read from each company’s own page on October 20, 2026 (Kudoboard October 17, 2026).

  • $5–$49Short videoVidDay $5, FromAll.gift $39 / $49.
  • $35–$99Long videoTribute DIY $35 up to 30 min, $99 for 61+ min.
  • $0–$1Per personFolksee: free up to 10, then $1 each.
  • Oct 20, 2026CheckedKudoboard Oct 17, 2026.

What is the price range?

About $5 to $100 for most videos, with a few free options. Services price in different ways: by the length of the video (VidDay, Tribute), by the number of people who record (Folksee), by the number of posts (Kudoboard) or by the number of photos (FromAll.gift). That is why the same group can pay very different totals.

What do three typical groups pay?

For a short video VidDay is the cheapest, and for a long one Tribute DIY is the cheapest, according to their pages. We worked out the price of three groups, using only what each page states. Where a service cannot do the job, the table says so.

Service10 people, 3 minutes30 people, 10 minutes50 people, 30 minutes
VidDay$5$15$55
Tribute (DIY)$35$35$35
FolkseeFree (10 people)$30 (30 people at $1 each)$50 (50 people at $1 each; $0.75 in bulk, threshold not stated)
Kudoboard$6.99 (20 posts)$9.99 (up to 100 posts)$9.99 (up to 100 posts)
FromAll.gift$39 (up to 15 photos, up to 90 s)$49 (up to 30 photos, up to 180 s)$49, but at most 30 photos in total and 180 s

Figures follow each company’s pricing page read on October 20, 2026 (Kudoboard October 17, 2026) and assume every person contributes once. Folksee does not set video length: its price follows the number of people who record, each up to 45 seconds. Kudoboard sells boards, not edited videos. FromAll.gift cannot make a 10-minute or 30-minute video: it holds up to 30 photos and up to 180 seconds, so in the last two columns it makes a 3-minute video from the best 30 photos.

If the group is large, FromAll.gift is not the right choice: it makes a video of up to 30 photos and up to 3 minutes. It is the right choice when your guests would rather send a photo than film themselves.

What extras cost more?

Keepsakes, editor services and memberships are the usual extras. Keepsakes are extras such as a Video Book, editor services mean a person edits the video for you, and memberships are a recurring fee. Check these before you start, because they can double the price:

  • Keepsakes

Tribute lists a Video Book: Concierge with a Video Book is $149, against $99 without it. VidDay lists Video Books among keepsakes, but its page does not give a price.

  • Editor services

Tribute’s Concierge plan is $99 and gives you a dedicated editor. Its Highlight Reel add-on costs $99 to $299.

  • Memberships

VidDay memberships start from $4.99 a month, or $59.99 a year for the Personal plan with 6 videos.

When do you pay?

VidDay and FromAll.gift ask for payment after you have watched the video, Tribute asks before you publish. VidDay says you can see your full video before you pay. Tribute’s page says payment is required before you publish and start collecting. At FromAll.gift you watch a free preview with a watermark, and edits are free until you pay. Folksee’s page does not say. Read on October 20, 2026.

How do you split the cost?

The organizer pays once and everyone sends them a few dollars. At FromAll.gift the video is paid once, by the organizer or by anyone with the gift link. If ten people split $49, each owes $4.90, settled among themselves. The same idea works for any service that charges one price for the video. Folksee charges per person who records, so the number of contributors decides the total.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a group video gift cost?

From free to about $100. For a short video VidDay costs from $5, Tribute from $35, Folksee $1 per person who records beyond 10, and FromAll.gift $39 for up to 15 photos or $49 for up to 30.

How much does a 3-minute group video cost?

VidDay charges $5 for a video of up to 3 minutes. Tribute DIY is $35 for up to 30 minutes. At FromAll.gift a video of up to 15 photos, up to 90 seconds, costs $39, and a video of up to 30 photos, up to 180 seconds, costs $49.

Do I pay before or after I see the video?

It differs. VidDay and FromAll.gift ask for payment after you have watched the video. Tribute says payment is required before you publish and start collecting. Folksee’s page does not say.

Are there hidden costs?

Check three things: whether the price grows with the video length, whether keepsakes and editor services are extra, and which currency is charged. Tribute’s Highlight Reel add-on costs $99 to $299, and its Video Book costs extra.

Is a group video gift cheaper than a physical gift?

Often yes. If ten people split $49, each pays under $5, and the gift needs no shipping. It is a different kind of gift, so cost is only one factor.

Who pays for a group video gift?

Usually the organizer pays once and the group splits the cost. At FromAll.gift guests join for free, and the video is paid once, after the preview, by the organizer or by anyone with the gift link.
