What happens when everyone sends a photo for Mother’s Day?

Mom sees her whole life on one screen, and she sees who remembered each moment. Picture the day: the family sits down together, the video starts, and one photo after another appears. Will they really do it? Isn’t it a lot to ask?

No. Each person needs a minute or two: open the link, choose one or two photos with Mom and write a few words. There are no selfie videos, no sign-up and no app. Brothers and sisters in other countries use the same link.

A video is a big ask. A person has to find a quiet corner and look into a camera, and many put it off. A photo is easy: everyone already has one with Mom.

You do not have to chase people one by one. The app writes the invitation for you, and after adding a photo each guest is asked, “Who else loves Mom?”. So the link spreads on its own.

When is Mother’s Day in 2027?

In 2027, Mother’s Day is on March 7 in the UK, May 2 in Spain, May 9 in the US, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands, May 26 in Poland and May 30 in France. Mother’s Day is not on the same day everywhere, so count back from your own country’s date.

What are the key facts about the video?

You get two videos from the same photos: 16:9 for the TV and 9:16 for phones. A video needs 10 to 30 photos in total and is built in up to 10 hours. It costs $39 for up to 15 photos or $49 for up to 30, and watching the preview is free.

How do you make the video? Three steps for the organizer

You add a few photos, send one invitation link and press “Make the video”. You need at least 10 photos in total. The video is ready in up to 10 hours, you watch the free preview, and you pay once, after it.

The app writes the invitation for you, with the name you enter. Send it as it is or edit it. For Mom it reads like this:

• Hi! 🎁 I’m making a surprise video for Mom from everyone’s photos, and I’d love you to be in it. Could you add photos with Mom (and a short line for each), ideally today? Just photos: no selfie video, no sign-up, about a minute. Know anyone else who should be in it? Pass the link on. Shh, it’s a secret!

What should you ask relatives for, and what should they write?

Ask each person for one or two photos with Mom from their own archive, plus a few words of up to 40 characters. Post the link where the family already talks, set a date and remind once. Old photos, and a photo with each person, work best.

How do you organize it when the kids live in different places?

Add a few of your own photos first: this starts the gift and gives you the link. Post it in the family chat and ask for something small: “One or two photos with Mom from your own archive, and a few words.” Set a deadline and remind once. You decide when to press “Make the video”, so you can wait for late relatives. One person organizes and pays once, after the preview, and the cost can be split between the children.

What should the messages say?

A few words, up to 40 characters: a memory, a thank-you or one wish. The line sits on the photo, so short is the point. These examples fit the limit and are ready to copy; the first two come from our example video.

How early should you start?

About 10 days before Mother’s Day in your country. Mother’s Day cannot move, so plan back from the date. The build takes up to 10 hours after you press “Make the video”, and you can preview and fix the video before you pay.

If the video is not ready within 20 hours, you can cancel the order and go back to editing. If the day is less than three days away, a simpler gift is safer.
