What do you give grandparents who say they need nothing? All their grandchildren in one video. Each grandchild adds a photo with them and a few words, and the photos become one professionally made video. The video above is our real example, made for a mother’s 65th birthday.
Everyone adds photos
What happens when every grandchild sends a photo?
Grandma and Grandpa see every grandchild on one screen, the ones at the table and the ones who live far away. Picture Christmas Day: the family gathers by the TV, and one photo after another appears, each with a few words and a small round portrait of the grandchild who sent it.
- On their own TV
- Every grandchild
- On Christmas Day

Your newest love!
Tim
And here I am!
Leo
Love you, sis!
Lilia
Your college days, Mom
Alex
These frames come from our example, a surprise for a mother’s 65th birthday. One of them, “Your newest love!”, shows her holding a baby in a red Santa suit. Eight people from three countries sent 19 photos in two days.
For grandparents, the faces are the gift. A baby photo from one family, a graduation from another, an old summer at their house from a grandchild who is grown up now.
How can small grandchildren take part?
A parent adds the photo for them and types the line. A toddler can be in the video with a photo on Grandma’s lap and a few words like “Love you, Grandpa!”. Older children can add a photo of a drawing or a handmade card, because any picture can be uploaded as a photo.
Toddlers
A parent picks a photo of them together and types the line.
School-age kids
A photo of their drawing or a handmade card counts as a photo.
Teens and grown-ups
Their own photo and a few words. No selfie video needed.
Lines that fit the 40-character limit and sound like grandchildren:
“Love you, Grandpa!”
“Best pancakes in the world!”
“Summers at your house = the best.”
“I drew this for you, Grandma!”
“Thank you for every story.”
“Merry Christmas from all of us!”
More lines for grandparents are in What to write in a group video message.
What if Grandma and Grandpa don’t use a smartphone?
They don’t need one. Play the 16:9 version on their TV from a laptop or a USB stick, or show it on a tablet at the table. After payment, anyone who has the link can download both versions in HD without the watermark.
- On their TV. Download the 16:9 version and play it from a laptop or a USB stick. The whole family watches together.
- On a tablet at the table. Open the link and pass the tablet around after dinner.
- On a video call. If the family is far away, open the link during the call, so everyone watches at the same moment.
Is there a version for the grandkids’ phones too?
Yes. You get two videos from the same photos: 16:9 for the grandparents’ TV and 9:16 for phones. Both are made at the same time and included in one price, so the grandchildren can keep the phone version too.
- 16:9 for the TV. For Christmas Day in the living room, on a wide screen.
- 9:16 for phones. It fills a phone screen. Send it to every grandchild after Christmas.
- One price for both. The same photos, messages and music in both videos.
Who can add a photo for Grandma and Grandpa?

Will busy grandkids really do it before Christmas?
Yes, because it takes a minute. Open the link, pick a photo with Grandma or Grandpa, type a few words. There is no app to install and no video to record, which is exactly why busy teenagers and grown-up grandchildren say yes in December.
- Step 1Open the link.
- Step 2Pick a photo with them.
- Step 3Type a few words. Done.
- No sign-up
- No app

The practical part
What you get, the three steps, when to start and what it costs.
What are the key facts?
You get two videos from the same photos: 16:9 for the grandparents’ TV and 9:16 for phones. The grandchildren’s photos, 10 to 30 in all, are built into the video in up to 10 hours. One price, $39 for up to 15 photos or $49 for up to 30, covers both versions, and the preview is free.
- all of themGrandchildrennear and far, each with their own photo.

How do you make it? Three steps for the organizer
Add a few photos, send one link to the grandchildren, press “Make the video”. Usually one grown-up grandchild or one of the parents organizes. The video starts at 10 photos and is built in up to 10 hours; you pay once, after the free preview.
- Step 1Add a few photosStart with your own photos of Grandma and Grandpa.
- Step 2Send one linkPost the ready message in the grandkids’ chat, not in the grandparents’ one.
- Step 3Press “Make the video”It needs 10 photos in all. Watch the free preview, fix anything, pay once.
The app writes the invitation for you, with the name you enter:
Hi! 🎁 I’m making a surprise video for Grandma and Grandpa from everyone’s photos, and I’d love you to be in it. Could you add photos with Grandma and Grandpa (and a short line for each), ideally today? Just photos: no selfie video, no sign-up, about a minute. Know anyone else who should be in it? Pass the link on. Shh, it’s a secret!
When should you start?
As soon as you decide, because December fills up fast. Give the grandchildren about a week to add photos and send one reminder. The video is built in up to 10 hours after you press “Make the video”, and you can watch the preview and fix anything before you pay. If it is not ready within 20 hours, you can cancel the order.
How much does it cost?
One payment: $39 for up to 15 photos or $49 for up to 30. Starting and watching the preview are free, and both versions and the music are included. If the grandchildren want to share the cost, anyone who has the gift link can pay: five grandchildren splitting $49 pay under $10 each.
