How do you thank your parents for a whole life together? Tell their story in photos from the people who were there. Children, grandchildren and wedding guests each add a photo and a few words, and the photos become one professionally made video. The video above is our real example, from a mother’s 65th birthday.

A frame from the example video: a bride and groom standing between older relatives in a bright hall, the message “Remember this? My wedding day...”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Alex”.

Everyone adds photos

What happens when everyone who was there sends a photo?

Your parents see their life together again, from the wedding day to the grandchildren. Picture the anniversary dinner: the lights go down, and their story plays on the TV, one photo at a time, each with a few words and a small round portrait of the person who kept that moment.

  • Their life together
  • From everyone who was there
  • At the anniversary dinner
  • A vertical frame from the example video: a bride and groom standing between older relatives in a bright hall, the message “Remember this? My wedding day...”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Alex”.

  • A vertical frame from the example video: an old sepia family portrait of a mother, a father and two boys, the message “The whole family together”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Alex”.

  • A vertical frame from the example video: a smiling woman in a pink blouse holding a baby in a red Santa suit, the message “Your newest love!”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Tim”.

  • A vertical frame from the example video: two women sitting together on a sofa in front of a bookshelf, the message “Love you, my dear!”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Kate”.
    Love you, my dear!Kate

These frames come from our example, a surprise for a mother’s 65th birthday. One of them is a real wedding photo with the line “Remember this? My wedding day...”. Eight people from three countries sent 19 photos in two days.

How do you tell their story in order?

Ask for photos from each chapter of their life, then arrange them before you make the video. In the editor you can change the photos, the texts and their order as often as you like until you pay. Put the wedding first and a recent photo of the two of them last.

  1. The weddingTheir wedding photos and the people who stood next to them.
  2. The first homeMoving in, the first car, the early years.
  3. The kidsBirthdays, holidays, first days at school.
  4. The grandkidsThe newest faces in the family.
  5. TodayA recent photo of the two of them, for the last frame.

Lines that fit the 40-character limit:

  • “Remember this? My wedding day...”

  • “Still dancing after all these years.”

  • “Thank you for showing us love.”

  • “Our first home. Remember?”

  • “Happy anniversary, Mom and Dad!”

  • “To many more years together!”

Who has photos from their wedding day?

Their wedding guests. The best man, the bridesmaids, old friends and relatives who were in the room. Many of them keep prints the family has never seen. Send them the link by text or email and ask for one photo from the day and one wish.

  • cousins
  • children
  • bridesmaids
  • neighbors
  • godchildren
  • in-laws
  • best man
  • wedding guests
  • siblings
  • family friends
  • former colleagues
  • maid of honor
  • grandchildren
  • nieces and nephews
  • groomsmen
  • childhood friends
  • old friends
  • old classmates

After adding a photo, each guest is asked who else should be in the video, so the link reaches people you would not think of.

Happy tears for everybody, memories forever.

Why do old wedding photos make the best frames?

Because nobody expects them. A photo from their wedding day, sent by a guest who kept it all these years, brings back people and places your parents have not seen in a long time. The small round portrait shows who kept it.

A frame from the example video with three marks: the wedding photo of a bride and groom between older relatives, the message “Remember this? My wedding day...”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Alex”.
  1. A photo from the guest’s archive. The day, the dress, the people, exactly as they were.
  2. A round portrait. It shows who kept the photo all these years.
  3. A few words. Up to 40 characters, in the guest’s own voice.

Is there a version for phones, for family who cannot come?

Yes. You get two videos from the same photos: 16:9 for the dinner TV and 9:16 for phones. Both are made at the same time and included in one price. Send the phone version to relatives who could not be at the dinner, or to your parents, so they can show it to their friends.

  • 16:9 for the TV. For the anniversary dinner, on a wide screen.
  • 9:16 for phones. It fills a phone screen. Send it to everyone far away.
  • One price for both. The same photos, messages and music in both videos.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good anniversary gift for parents from their children?

A video of their life together, made of photos from their children, grandchildren and the people who were at their wedding. Each person adds a photo and a few words, and the photos become one professionally made video.

Who should we ask for photos?

Their children and grandchildren, their brothers and sisters, their wedding guests and old friends. Each person can add several photos and a few words.

Can we put the photos in order, from the wedding to today?

Yes. Before you pay, tap “Edit photos” to change the photos, the texts and their order as often as you like, then make the video again.

Can wedding guests who are not in the family chat join?

Yes. Send them the link by text message or email. It opens in any browser, with no account and no app.

Do guests have to record a video?

No. Guests add photos and a few typed words, never video clips. That is why older guests and shy relatives take part too.

How do we show it at the anniversary dinner?

Download the 16:9 version and play it on a TV from a laptop or a USB stick. After payment, anyone with the link can download both versions in HD without the watermark.

How much does an anniversary video cost?

You start and preview for free, then pay once if you like it: $39 for up to 15 photos or $49 for up to 30. The TV and phone versions are both included.
