When someone is recovering, friends, family and coworkers each add a photo with them and a few words, and the photos become one professionally made video to watch from bed. The video above is our real example, made for a mother’s 65th birthday.

A frame from the example video: two women sitting together on a sofa in front of a bookshelf, the message “Love you, my dear!”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Kate”.

What helps when someone can’t have visitors?

Bringing everyone to them, in one video. Picture a long afternoon of recovery, and then a video of friends and family, each with a photo and a few warm words. Under each photo, the name of the person who sent it.

  • Get well soon
  • From everyone
  • To watch from bed
  • A vertical frame from the example video: two women sitting together on a sofa in front of a bookshelf, the message “Love you, my dear!”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Kate”.
    Love you, my dear!Kate
  • A vertical frame from the example video: an old black-and-white family portrait of a woman, a small boy and a man, the message “And here I am!”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Leo”.
    And here I am!Leo
  • A vertical frame from the example video: an old black-and-white photo of three women and a boy sitting in the grass, the message “Love you, sis!”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Lilia”.
    Love you, sis!Lilia
  • A vertical frame from the example video: a smiling woman in a pink blouse holding a baby in a red Santa suit, the message “Your newest love!”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Tim”.
    Your newest love!Tim

All four frames are from our real example, made for a mother’s 65th birthday: 8 people in 3 countries, 19 photos in two days, and not a single recorded clip.

Why a video instead of flowers?

Flowers fade in a week; the video can be watched on every hard day. Recovery can be slow and lonely. A video from everyone is a reminder of the people waiting for them. Each frame holds the full photo, a few words and a small round portrait of the sender.

A frame from the example video with three marks: two women sitting together on a sofa in front of a bookshelf, the message “Love you, my dear!”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Kate”.
  1. A photo together. A happy memory.
  2. A round portrait. It shows who sent the photo. It is optional.
  3. A few words. Up to 40 characters, warm and simple.

Lines that fit the 40-character limit:

  • “Get well soon!”

  • “We’re all with you!”

  • “Can’t wait to see you!”

  • “Sending you love!”

  • “You’ve got this!”

  • “Missing your laugh!”

Who can add a photo?

Family, friends, coworkers, teammates and neighbors. Start with the closest people and pass the link on. After adding a photo, each guest is asked who else should be in the video. Nobody needs an account or an app to take part.

  • family
  • best friends
  • coworkers
  • neighbors
  • teammates
  • church friends
  • classmates
  • grandkids
  • cousins
  • book club
  • everyone
  • old friends
  • in-laws
  • gym friends
  • choir
  • volunteers

Is it OK to ask about their health in the video?

Keep it about them, not the illness. Happy memories and simple wishes work best. The person who starts the video sees every photo and line in the free preview and can change anything before paying. Nobody needs an account or an app to take part.

Is there a version for phones?

Yes. You get two videos from the same photos: 16:9 for the TV and 9:16 for phones. Both are made at the same time and included in one price. The 9:16 version is easy to watch on a phone in bed; the 16:9 version plays on a TV.

  • 16:9 for the TV. Play it at the party or on a video call.
  • 9:16 for phones. It fills the screen. Send it to everyone who took part.
  • One price for both. The same photos, words and music in each.
