For a graduation, the family, old friends, teammates and teachers each add a photo with the graduate and a few words, and the photos become one professionally made video for the party. The video above is our real example, made for a mother’s 65th birthday.

A frame from the example video: two women sitting together on a sofa in front of a bookshelf, the message “Love you, my dear!”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Kate”.

Everyone adds photos

What does a graduate want to see at the party?

Their whole road here, told by everyone who walked part of it. Picture the party: the first day of kindergarten, the braces, the team photo, prom, and the people from every year, each with a photo and a few words. Nobody gives a speech, and everyone says something.

  • At the party
  • Family and friends
  • From every year
  • A vertical frame from the example video: two women sitting together on a sofa in front of a bookshelf, the message “Love you, my dear!”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Kate”.

  • A vertical frame from the example video: an old black-and-white family portrait of a woman, a small boy and a man, the message “And here I am!”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Leo”.
    And here I am!Leo
  • A vertical frame from the example video: an old black-and-white photo of three women and a boy sitting in the grass, the message “Love you, sis!”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Lilia”.
    Love you, sis!Lilia
  • A vertical frame from the example video: a smiling woman in a pink blouse holding a baby in a red Santa suit, the message “Your newest love!”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Tim”.

All four frames are from our real example, made for a mother’s 65th birthday: 8 people in 3 countries, 19 photos in two days, and not a single recorded clip.

Why a video instead of cash in a card?

Cash gets spent; this stays. A card with a check is gone in a week. A video from everyone shows the graduate who cheered for them all along. Each frame holds the full photo, a few words and a small round portrait of the sender.

A frame from the example video with three marks: two women sitting together on a sofa in front of a bookshelf, the message “Love you, my dear!”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Kate”.
  1. A photo from any year. Baby pictures welcome.
  2. A round portrait. It shows who sent the photo. It is optional.
  3. A few words. Up to 40 characters. One true line beats a long speech.

Lines that fit the 40-character limit:

  • “So proud of you!”

  • “You did it!”

  • “The world is yours now!”

  • “Remember the science fair?”

  • “Go get them, kid!”

  • “Best teammate ever!”

Who can add a photo?

Family, friends from every stage, coaches, teachers and teammates. Start with the family, then pass the link to friends and coaches. After adding a photo, each guest is asked who else should be in the video. Nobody needs an account or an app to take part.

  • parents
  • grandparents
  • best friends
  • teammates
  • coaches
  • teachers
  • cousins
  • siblings
  • neighbors
  • godparents
  • classmates
  • band
  • youth group
  • tutors
  • summer camp friends
  • aunts and uncles
  • family friends
  • mentors

Can friends from other cities join?

Yes. Everyone opens the same link in a browser, from anywhere. Nobody needs an account or an app. In our example, 8 people in 3 countries added 19 photos in two days. Nobody needs an account or an app to take part.

Is there a version for phones?

Yes. You get two videos from the same photos: 16:9 for the TV and 9:16 for phones. Both are made at the same time and included in one price. Play the 16:9 video at the party and send the 9:16 version to everyone’s phones the same night.

  • 16:9 for the TV. Play it at the party or on a video call.
  • 9:16 for phones. It fills the screen. Send it to everyone who took part.
  • One price for both. The same photos, words and music in each.

Add a few photos, send one link, press “Make the video”. Once 10 photos are in, you can start the build, which takes up to 10 hours. In the free preview you can still replace a photo, edit a line or move frames around, all before paying.

  1. Step 1Add a few photosStart with a few photos from childhood and school.
  2. Step 2Send one linkSend the ready message to family and friends, not the graduate.
  3. Step 3Press “Make the video”It needs 10 photos in all. Watch the free preview, fix anything, pay once.

The app writes the invitation for you, with the name you enter:

  • Hi! 🎁 I’m making a surprise video for Sam from everyone’s photos, and I’d love you to be in it. Could you add photos with Sam (and a short line for each), ideally today? Just photos: no selfie video, no sign-up, about a minute. Know anyone else who should be in it? Pass the link on. Shh, it’s a secret!

Who pays, and how much?

One person pays once, after the free preview: $39 for up to 15 photos or $49 for up to 30. Guests take part for free and never enter a card. Anyone who has the gift link can pay, so friends can chip in among themselves. The TV version, the phone version and the music are all included.

How early should you start?

About two weeks before the graduation party. Baby photos are often in old albums, so give people time and send one reminder. Building takes up to 10 hours after you press “Make the video”. Nobody needs an account or an app to take part.
