Every FromAll.gift video comes in two versions made from the same photos: 16:9 for the TV and 9:16 for phones, both included in one price. The video above is our real example, made for a mother’s 65th birthday.

A frame from the example video: a bride and groom standing between older relatives in a bright hall, the message “Remember this? My wedding day...”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Alex”.

Everyone adds photos

Why do you need two versions?

Because the party watches on a TV, and everyone else watches on a phone. At the party, the video plays on a big screen. Later, the people who added photos want to watch it on their phones, where a horizontal video looks tiny. So you get both: 16:9 for the TV and 9:16 that fills a phone screen.

  • 16:9 for the TV
  • 9:16 for phones
  • One price
  • A vertical frame from the example video: two women sitting together on a sofa in front of a bookshelf, the message “Love you, my dear!”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Kate”.
    Love you, my dear!Kate
  • A vertical frame from the example video: an old black-and-white family portrait of a woman, a small boy and a man, the message “And here I am!”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Leo”.
    And here I am!Leo
  • A vertical frame from the example video: an old black-and-white photo of three women and a boy sitting in the grass, the message “Love you, sis!”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Lilia”.
    Love you, sis!Lilia
  • A vertical frame from the example video: a smiling woman in a pink blouse holding a baby in a red Santa suit, the message “Your newest love!”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Tim”.
    Your newest love!Tim

All four frames are from our real example, made for a mother’s 65th birthday: 8 people in 3 countries, 19 photos in two days, and not a single recorded clip.

What about mixed photos, vertical and horizontal?

Both kinds work: every frame shows the full photo. Guests send whatever is on their phones, old scans and new vertical shots. Each frame holds the full photo, a few words and a small round portrait of the sender, in both versions.

A frame from the example video with three marks: a bride and groom standing between older relatives in a bright hall, the message “Remember this? My wedding day...”, and a round portrait labelled “Photo from Alex”.
  1. The full photo. Vertical or horizontal, old or new.
  2. A round portrait. It shows who sent the photo. It is optional.
  3. A few words. Up to 40 characters.

Lines that fit the 40-character limit:

  • “Remember this day?”

  • “Love you all!”

  • “Best night ever!”

  • “Thank you, Mom!”

  • “Here’s to you!”

  • “Still my favorite photo!”

More ideas are in What to write in a group video message.

Who watches which version?

The room watches 16:9; everyone else watches 9:16. The 16:9 version is for the party, the TV at home or a projector. The 9:16 version is for the family chat, the people who couldn’t come and the guest of honor’s own phone.

  • the party
  • the family chat
  • grandparents’ TV
  • friends abroad
  • the guest of honor
  • projectors
  • video calls

Yes. You get two videos from the same photos: 16:9 for the TV and 9:16 for phones. Both are made at the same time from the same photos, words and music, and both are included in one price.
